Actrice Troian Bellisario is via de website ATTN uitgekomen voor haar anorexia. In een video vertelt ze waarom ze de juiste hulpverlening zo belangrijk vindt.

‘Je doet alsof het goed met je gaat, terwijl je jezelf langzaam kapot maakt’, aldus Bellisario in de video die ze ook deelde via Instagram. Ze vertelt tijdens de verkiezingen Hillary Clinton te steunen, omdat Clinton zich inzet voor psychiatrische patiënten. ‘Ik vind het belangrijk dat iedereen dezelfde kansen krijgt op een goede behandeling zoals ik deze ook kreeg.’

Early detection, diagnosis and treatment of mental illness saves lives. It certainly saved mine.
